Job Description
About CRLAB
CRLAB is a premium hair restoration and scalp health center specializing in non-surgical hair replacement, cranial prostheses, trichology, and advanced scalp care. We are not a traditional salon. Our work sits at the intersection of technical hairstyling, science, and personalized client care — helping people restore their hair, their confidence, and their quality of life.
Our Laguna Hills location is part of an internationally recognized brand built on proprietary methods, high-quality materials, and a discreet, consultative client experience. Every member of our team is trained to deliver results at the highest standard in the industry.
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed cosmetologist or hairstylist who wants to grow beyond conventional salon work and build a long-term, specialized career in hair restoration and scalp health. This is a training-forward role: you bring strong technical hair skills, professionalism, and a genuine desire to master a specialty, and CRLAB provides the structured training to develop you into a hair restoration specialist.
No prior hair restoration, non-surgical replacement, or trichology experience is required. What matters most is your technical ability, attention to detail, and commitment to learning and staying in this field.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and apply CRLAB's specialized methods for non-surgical hair replacement, cranial prostheses, and scalp health treatments
- Cut, style, blend, and maintain hair systems and prostheses to a premium, natural-looking standard
- Perform scalp and hair assessments and support clients through their treatment programs
- Deliver a consultative, discreet, and highly personalized client experience
- Maintain meticulous documentation, records, and follow-up care for each client
- Uphold strict standards of hygiene, product handling, and workspace presentation
- Build lasting client relationships that support retention and long-term results
Required Qualifications
- Active California cosmetology or hairstylist license in good standing
- Good foundational hairstyling skills, especially cutting, blending, and styling
- Excellent attention to detail and precision
- Professional, polished demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Reliability, discretion, and a client-first mindset
- Genuine interest in building a career in hair restoration and scalp health
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hair systems, extensions, wigs, or cranial prostheses
- Background in fine detail work (color correction, precision cutting, custom blending)
- Familiarity with scalp health, trichology, or related wellness fields
- Bilingual ability is a plus
Training & Professional Development
CRLAB provides comprehensive, specialized training to develop your expertise in hair restoration, non-surgical hair replacement, cranial prostheses, and trichology/scalp health. You will learn proprietary techniques and methods not taught in cosmetology school, with ongoing mentorship and opportunities to advance into a recognized specialist role within a growing field.
This is a career path, not just a job — designed for a stylist who wants to develop rare, in-demand skills and become an expert in a specialized area of the industry.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are a skilled, detail-oriented stylist who takes pride in your craft and is ready for something more meaningful than day-to-day salon work. You are curious, coachable, and motivated by the idea of mastering a specialty and making a real difference in clients' lives. You value professionalism, consistency, and long-term growth, and you are looking for a place to build your career rather than your next short-term stop.
Schedule & Employment Type
- Employment type: Full-time / Part-time
- Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday
- Location: On-site, Laguna Hills, CA
Compensation
Hourly rate plus commissions.
Benefits & Perks
- Paid, specialized training in a high-value niche of the industry
- Clear path for career growth into a hair restoration specialist role
- Work in a premium, professional environment (not a high-volume salon floor)
- Meaningful work helping clients restore confidence and quality of life
- Supportive, expert-led team and mentorship
- PTO, product discounts, continuing education.
