Job Description
The Planet Group is seeking a Web Programmer to join one of our well-known global pharmaceutical clients.
The Web Programmer is responsible building websites, emails, and banner ads. The position also prepares project documentation for medical, regulatory and IT review.
- Location: Mettawa, IL (3 days Onsite / 2 Remote)
- Duration: 1 year to start, potential for extension /conversion
- Pay: $33-$36/hr depending on experience (W2 and benefit options)
Web Programmer Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate critical creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task to enhance productivity and manage workload.
- Possess ability to work in a high-volume, rapidly paced environment.
- Convert designs built using Figma or Adobe Creative Suite into fully functional, responsive assets.
- Expertise in content authoring using custom components within Adobe Experience Manager.
- Create responsive websites from provided designs and functional requirements.
- Develop animations, navigation, other interactive elements.
- Create animated HTML banner ads using DoubleClick Studios and Google Web Designer.
- Convert email designs into responsive HTML emails.
- Develop thorough knowledge of department, company, and industry standards.
- Create thorough and accurate project documentation.
- Work collaboratively with designers and creative managers.
- Work well in a team environment and be able to follow department workflow process.
- Stay up to date with current technology and apply learnings to improve our development methods.
Accountability/ Scope:
- Reports to the Senior Web Programmer.
- Partners with creative team on project initiatives.
Web Programmer Qualifications:
- Expertise with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery.
- Experience with front end development of HTML-based projects such as websites, emails and banner ads.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience building websites or other HTML-based projects.
- Experience with a server-side scripting language such as .NET.
- Experience with content authoring in AEM.
- Experience with Veeva Email and CRM modules a plus.
- Be able to learn new platforms and processes quickly.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
