We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and paralegals in our busy Philadelphia office.
Position Summary
The Legal Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our litigation teams by managing administrative and case-related tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to prioritize multiple assignments, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
· Prepare, revise, and format legal documents and correspondence.
· File documents with state and federal courts, including electronic filings.
· Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and deadlines.
· Maintain electronic client files.
· Prepare mailings, labels, certified mail, and overnight packages.
· Coordinate court filings, messenger services, and deliveries.
· Scan, save, and organize documents within the firm's document management system.
· Answer and direct client communications in a professional manner.
· Assist with trial preparation, binders, exhibits, and hearing materials.
· Maintain accurate records and provide general administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.
Qualifications
· Previous legal assistant experience preferred.
· Experience supporting litigation attorneys is strongly preferred.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with legal practice management or document management systems is a plus (CLIO and iManage).
· Professional demeanor with a strong customer service mindset.
· Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
