Job Description Do you love solving tough electrical problems?

At our Cleveland, OH 44105 facility, we’re looking for a Manufacturing Controls and PLC Electrician who thrives on diagnosing issues fast, keeping production moving, and elevating system reliability.

What will you do?

  • Install, maintain, and repair plant electrical systems and equipment.
  • Own preventive care for communication systems; radios and radio‑controlled cranes; gauges/measuring devices; ultrasonic and fluidic equipment; VDTs; PLCs; microprocessors; numerical and programmable controllers; low/high‑voltage distribution; rectifiers; and test/measurement tools.
  • Pinpoint faults using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic instruments—then fix them quickly and safely.
  • Apply electrical codes and site safety protocols on every task.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations to boost uptime and performance.
  • Log work performed, parts used, and findings with clear documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing training to expand your technical range.

Are you a match?

  • High school diploma or equivalent (apprenticeship completion preferred).
  • Have a Journeyman’s card OR bring 4 years of relevant maintenance experience AND achieve a qualifying score on a Howmet‑administered assessment during the interview.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical circuits, controls, and troubleshooting strategies.
  • Comfort working solo and with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong communicator with outstanding problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willing to work overtime/weekends when required.

Compensation and shifts

Assignment will be on 2nd or 3rd shift per the collective bargaining agreement.

  • Base: $43.56/hour
  • Cost-of-Living Adjustment: +$4.75/hour
  • 2nd shift premium: $0.47/hour
  • 3rd shift premium: $0.78/hour
  • Vacation: 1 week after 6 months
