Overview
Perform daily and weekly administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner. Provide administrative support to the Director of Purchasing, Purchasing Manager and the Buyers as needed.
Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Acknowledge and assist internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner
- Handle telephone and electronic inquiries efficiently and effectively
- Identify the needs and provide the appropriate level of assistance
- Effectively research and resolve complaints and conflicts
Executive Administrative Support
- Reconcile American Express statement
- Coordinate and manage project based needs of the department
- Assist with projects on an as needed bases
Administrative
- Review and maintain department time cards
- Act as a liaison between Corporate departments
- Maintain and audit vendor rebates
- Maintain contractor pricing for large builders
- Monitor and apply price changes as needed
- Coordinate corporate travel arrangements
- Process price level requests from the Directors
- Coordinate LMC and Orgill show buys
Buyer Administrative Support
- Provide support to other department members as needed
- Item maintenance
- Work directly with vendors and sales representatives as needed

- Attendance at Company/store meetings is mandatory

Qualifications
- Education/Experience: College degree preferred but not required, with a minimum of 3-5 years office/business management.
- Language Ability: Effective communication and negotiation skills both verbally and in writing.
- Math Ability: Advanced math skills.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills in order to analyze needs and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in both written and oral form.
- Computer Skills: Proficient keyboard and computer skills including Microsoft office and other Company and discipline specific software applications. With an emphasis on Excel, Access, and Outlook.
