Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Field Diesel Technicians to support our expanding field service operations.
This role is ideal for individuals who:
- Enjoy working independently
- Prefer a field-based environment over a traditional shop
- Are confident handling roadside service calls and on-site repairs
Technicians will be assigned a fully equipped service truck and dispatched to customer locations for diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
Compensation Structure
This position follows a performance-based pay model (flat rate).
- $32 – $45+ per hour depending on experience and productivity
- High-performing technicians regularly exceed base earnings (110% – 185%)
- Earnings directly tied to efficiency, skill level, and output
- Performance-based pay stability support available
Key Responsibilities
- Perform roadside service and on-location repairs
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components
- Complete preventative maintenance services in the field
- Accurately document repairs, labor, and service details
- Maintain assigned service vehicle and parts inventory
- Provide professional, customer-focused service at each job site
Qualifications
- Previous diesel technician experience (mobile service experience a plus)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Willingness to travel within a designated service area
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
- Dependable with strong time management skills
