About Us
College Housing Northwest (CHNW) is a nonprofit that helps students succeed by providing them with more affordable housing in supportive communities. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the smooth operation and general facility maintenance to ensure the care and safety of our buildings. This is a full-time position.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
- Ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner while communicating progress and completion with residents and supervisors
- Executes apartment turnover tasks including painting and repairs
- Installs and repairs fixtures and outlets, replaces and adjusts lighting
- Conducts or assists with periodic property and apartment inspections
- Provides the highest level of service to residents
- Prioritizes ones own development and engagement by participating in company training, activities, and events
- Collaborates with the rest of the staff to contribute to the company mission
Maintenance Technician Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Good time management
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Collaborative nature
- Self-motivation
- 1-3 years experience in maintenance or construction
- Basic to intermediate knowledge related to facility maintenance
- Proficiency in basic computer applications including email (Microsoft Outlook) and internet
- Ability to get to/from work and job sites reliably and legally
