Join a full-service real estate and development company as an Occupancy Specialist, where you will manage occupancy processes for low-income housing, Section 8, and HUD properties. This role focuses on tenant certification, application processing, and maintaining strong tenant and team communications while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct applicant interviews and process tenant certifications, verifying income, assets, and medical expenses
- Manage tenant billing and process rent payments accurately
- Maintain detailed logbooks and accurate records for all occupancy-related activities
- Serve as a liaison to property managers, social service coordinators, and tenants
- Handle incoming calls and communications from potential applicants and current tenants
- Coordinate and manage recertification processes for tenants
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Low-Income Section HUD properties
- Background in occupancy specialist or related roles
- Familiarity with the recertification process
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook with strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in occupancy management
- Experience with assisted senior living properties is a plus
