Legal Assistant – Bankruptcy & Litigation Hybrid schedule
Southfield, MI | $45,000 – $70,000 (DOE) | Full-Time

We’re seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with a background in bankruptcy and litigation to join a respected Southfield law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Secretary, Paralegal, or Legal Administrative Assistant who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants to make a real impact.

What You’ll Do:

Prepare and file court documents for state and federal court in bankruptcy and litigation cases
Draft, proofread, and manage pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and trial preparation materials
Maintain organized case files (paper and electronic) and track all deadlines
Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits and witness lists
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

What We’re Looking For:

2+ years experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Paralegal in bankruptcy and litigation
Strong knowledge of court rules, bankruptcy procedures, and litigation processes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
Excellent organizational, proofreading, and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
