Job DescriptionJob Opportunity: Full-Time Transplant Hepatologist

Our organization is actively looking for a dedicated Transplant Hepatologist to become a part of our esteemed Transplant Institute. This is a full-time position that promises a rewarding career in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting, focusing on general hepatology as well as pre- and post-transplant patients.
  • Conduct outpatient endoscopy procedures.
  • Participate in inpatient services on a rotation of 1 in 4-5 weeks.
  • Share night and weekend on-call duties with the Gastroenterology team, averaging 5-6 weeks per year.
  • Engage in teaching activities for students, residents, and fellows.
  • Encourage and participate in clinical or health services research, with approximately three half-days per week allocated for this purpose.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Transplant Hepatology and Gastroenterology.

Working Environment

Our liver transplant program ranks among the largest in California, performing a significant number of transplants annually. We operate satellite clinics in Palm Springs, Murrieta, and a nearby Riverside county hospital. As the sole tertiary/quaternary program in the Inland Empire, we serve a combined population of over 4 million residents across Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Both the Transplant Institute clinic and the Medical Center hospital feature cutting-edge facilities.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting base salary for this position ranges from $340,000 to $400,000, depending on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives, which are determined by departmental compensation plans. Further details regarding compensation will be discussed during the recruitment process.
