Position Overview
A fast-growing cosmetic packaging manufacturer in Kenilworth, NJ is seeking a hands-on Line Mechanic / Machine Mechanic to support production line setup, troubleshooting, and equipment repair. This role is ideal for someone mechanically inclined who enjoys tinkering with machines, problem-solving, and keeping equipment running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical setup and changeovers on production and packaging equipment

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic repairs to minimize downtime

Conduct routine preventative maintenance and adjustments

Assist in cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of machinery

Ensure production lines are running safely and efficiently

Communicate issues and progress with maintenance and production teams

Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in an organized manner
Preferred Experience & Skills

Mechanical experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or industrial environment (any industry welcome)

Strong hands-on aptitude—comfortable using tools, diagnosing issues, and repairing equipment

Ability to read instructions, diagrams, or basic schematics

Problem-solver who enjoys taking machines apart and figuring out how they work

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on feet throughout the shift
