Job DescriptionPart-Time General Maintenance Technician - Twin Cities Metro

AHL Healthcare Group is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Time General Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Twin Cities Metro area. If you have a strong background in general property maintenance and are looking for a flexible, impactful role, we encourage you to apply!

As a General Maintenance Technician, you'll be essential in ensuring our AHL group homes provide safe, functional, and comfortable environments for the individuals we support. You'll perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, from routine repairs to assisting with major projects, directly contributing to the well-being of our residents.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across multiple residential properties.
  • Conduct repairs and installations of light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures, and household appliances.
  • Diagnose and fix issues with building heat, electricity, and water systems.
  • Manage the monthly purchase and delivery of water softener salt to all Metro properties.
  • Replace interior and exterior doors and windows.
  • Execute various flooring tasks, including carpet stretching, full replacement, and repair of wood, vinyl, linoleum, stone, tile, and carpeting.
  • Maintain and repair exterior home features such as decks, stairs, and fences.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls (on-call availability required).
  • Prioritize and manage maintenance requests efficiently.
  • Document property safety concerns and complete inspections.

What You Bring:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a MN DHS Background Study and MVR Record Study.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday.
  • Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
