Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Mechanic Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of our fleet of diesel trucks and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will be familiar with DOT regulations, have strong mechanical aptitude, and be capable of working independently as well as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of service, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet DOT safety and compliance standards.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with company and federal guidelines.
  • Manage parts inventory and order necessary components as needed.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized; comply with all safety standards.
  • Respond to on-site equipment issues when necessary (some travel may be required).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or ASE certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic in construction or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and inspection procedures.
  • Valid drivers license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
