GENERAL PURPOSE: Maintenance and upkeep of the Souris Valley Golf Course grounds. This is a seasonal position with an anticipated duration of April – October though potential for extension may exist.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
- Operate various mowing equipment (e.g., greens mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain and prepare sand traps (e.g., raking, edging).
- Maintain and repair ball marks, divots, and other turf damage.
- Water greens, fairways, and other landscaped areas using irrigation systems and hoses.
- Assist with the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf treatments (under supervision).
- Remove debris, leaves, and other obstructions from the course.
- Maintain flower beds, shrubbery, and other landscaped areas.
- Assist with the course setup for daily play, including setting up tee markers, flags, and ropes.
- Perform general grounds maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of golf course maintenance practices is a plus but not required.
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 1
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in and around the golf course facilities.
- Equipment operation.
- Lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly wage: $10 - $15 (depending on experience)
