Field Service Technician - Preventive Maintenance (PMI)

What You'll Do
● Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI) on data destruction equipment (shredders, disintegrators, degaussers) at client data center sites across Northern Virginia
● Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field
● Complete service documentation, including labor hours, parts used, and completion details, for each visit
● Maintain compliance with data center site access, safety, and security protocols
● Communicate professionally with on-site facility staff and client personnel
● Manage your own service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory
● Occasionally support service needs outside the immediate Northern Virginia area as business requires
What We're Looking For
● 4+ years of hands-on experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or a related mechanical trade
● Strong mechanical aptitude — comfortable troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
● Ability to meet data center facility access requirements, including background checks and security clearance eligibility (required for entry to secure client sites)
● Valid driver's license and clean driving record
● Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a warehouse/field environment
● Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-facing demeanor
● Comfortable working independently and managing your own daily schedule/route
Travel required throughout Northern Virginia's data center corridor, with occasional travel to other regional areas as needed
