We are seeking an Entry-Level candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes.
Information Technology Technician: Part-Time
As an Information Technology Technician, you’ll play an important role in supporting an organization’s IT infrastructure. Your focus will be on security, employee IT support, and IT documentation. This is a part time-role that will require around 30 hours per week. Possible responsibilities and qualifications include:
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Security:
- Utilize WithSecure Elements Vulnerability Management (EVM) to identify system vulnerabilities. Research the vulnerabilities, propose solutions, and plan implementation.
- Monitor WithSecure Elements Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) to identify device vulnerabilities. Confirm actions with users and address as necessary.
- Review and monitor the email monitoring tools for Phishing attacks. Address reported Phishing emails and take mitigation actions to address future emails.
- Review and interact with M365 Security Admin module to improve the company’s Microsoft Defender Security score.
- Review the Penetration Test report, identify possible ‘quick wins’, propose solution, and possibly implement.
2. Troubleshooting and Support:
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues for company employees, including setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops.
- Help manage user accounts and permissions within the company’s Active Directory or similar directory services.
- Participate in daily IT support activities
3. Policy Management:
- Review current IT Policies manual, suggest changes, and update.
- Support the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
4. Documentation and Training:
- Update the Network Diagram
- Contribute to the documentation of IT procedures, creating user manuals and help guides for internal software applications.
5. Asset Management:
- Assist in inventory management of IT assets, tracking hardware and software licenses.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with Windows Server, M365 (Office 365), and basic networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange 365, Teams, and Sharepoint.
Education and Certifications:
- AAS or BS in Information Technology or related program
Pay Range: $25-$28/hour – Commensurate with experience
