Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking Cannabis Cultivation Technicians to join our team at the Oneida Indian Nation's 50,000-square-foot cannabis grow facility in Verona, NY supporting cloning, which includes cutting, rooting, transplanting, watering, and feeding plants. Cultivation techs will also conduct pest and disease control to make sure plants are always in prime condition. They will ensure that correct care is given to the plants during their vegetative and flowering phase. Cultivation techs will have the opportunity to help out in all areas of cultivation and cross-train in all applicable departments. Individuals should possess a positive attitude and work well within a team environment. Responsibilities include:Transplanting and defoliatingScouting for disease or potential insectsPrepare room for harvestHarvest and take down plantsDefoliate and break plants into smaller piecesHang plants on dry rackClean both dry and flower rooms in between harvestSweeping, mopping and all other required cleaningMaintenance and cleaning of the plant tablesMaintenance of the plant potsReporting any issues to management to ensure a timely fixBe aware of hazards in the workspaceRetain and understand department specific trainingReport safety incidents/ concerns and comply with follow-up actionsBe compliant with area safety requirements, state regulations and PPE requirementsFollow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirementsPerform record keeping accurately and completely as directed by a lead or supervisorMaintain and calibrate tools, equipment and machinery as directed by a lead or supervisorReport and escalate safety & quality concernsAny other tasks as assigned by Cultivation Manager or LeadsAdditional Job Requirements:Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a diverse set of personalities and learning stylesMust be 21 years or olderAbility to work with a teamAbility to stand on feet for up to 10 hoursAbility to lift up to 50 poundsWho you are:Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, following directions from the Cultivation Manager and Leads and effectively supporting team members.Have the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances, handle setbacks, and maintain composure under pressure.Adaptability and resilience inspire confidence in the team and help navigate challenges effectively.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records.Located in Upstate New York, Verona Collective offers a diverse range of cannabis products ranging from flower to edibles, all of which are cultivated and produced entirely by the Oneida Indian Nation.
