Job Description
Pelican State Electric is seeking an experienced and dependable Commercial Lead Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal applicant will have a proven history of successfully leading commercial electrical projects and supervising a crew.
Although this position primarily involves commercial work, the applicant must also be willing and able to perform residential electrical work as needed.
Responsibilities

Lead and supervise electricians and helpers

Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications and schedules

Plan daily work and assign tasks to crew members

Coordinate manpower, materials and jobsite activities

Perform commercial electrical installations, troubleshooting and repairs
-
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and according to applicable codes

Communicate professionally with customers, contractors and project representatives
-
Track project progress and report jobsite needs
-
Perform residential electrical work when needed
-
Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles
Qualifications
-
Verifiable experience as a commercial lead electrician or electrical foreman

Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installations

Ability to independently manage a crew and maintain production

Ability to read blueprints and electrical plans

Working knowledge of the NEC and jobsite safety requirements

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Dependable attendance and professional attitude

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Reliable transportation to the designated meeting or work location

Résumé or verifiable work history is required
Compensation and Benefits

$27–$34 per hour, depending on experience

Take-home vehicle privileges may depend on the employee’s home location

90-day retention bonus for successfully completing the first 90 days with satisfactory performance and no unexcused absences
