We are partnering with a specialized boutique law firm in Tampa to find a skilled Litigation Paralegal to support their insurance coverage and civil litigation team. This role is designed for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a solid foundation in insurance-related legal matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Case Coordination: Manage and organize complex case files, ensuring all documentation is easily accessible and up to date for the litigation team.

  • Document Drafting: Assist in drafting and proofreading legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and motions.

  • E-Filing: Handle timely electronic filing of documents in both Florida State and Federal courts.

  • Discovery Management: Coordinate the collection, review, and production of discovery materials, including managing high volumes of medical records or insurance policy documentation.

  • Deadline Tracking: Maintain a rigorous litigation calendar, tracking all court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and mediations to ensure team compliance.

  • Trial Preparation: Assist with the preparation of trial exhibits, notebooks, and witness materials.

  • Communication: Act as a professional point of contact for clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to gather information and schedule proceedings.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, specifically within insurance defense, third-party litigation, or insurance coverage.

  • Legal Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of insurance litigation processes and terminology.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal case management software.

  • Court Procedures: Proficiency in State and Federal court filing rules and procedures.

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Education: Paralegal certificate or degree from an ABA-approved program is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

  • Professionalism: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proactive, self-motivated approach to daily tasks.
