As a Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. You will use computerized tools and equipment to diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Your role involves performing scheduled maintenance, disassembling and reassembling major components, and keeping detailed logs of equipment conditions and work performed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative and basic maintenance on company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using computerized tools and equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating parts.
- Disassemble and reassemble major components such as engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Keep detailed logs of equipment conditions and work performed.
- Assist in the yard when maintenance work is caught up.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in auto technology and mechanical systems.
- Experience with computerized diagnostic tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 6 months or more experience as a mechanic working with trailers, large trucks, heavy equipment, or diesel engines.
- Company will pay for TWIC card if needed.

Work Environment
Technicians will work outdoors, exposed to various weather elements, and in the truck bay as needed. This role requires adaptability to different working conditions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
