Compensation: $200,000 – $300,000+

About the Role:
Direct Counsel is partnering with an Am Law 100 firm to identify an experienced Corporate Incentives Senior Attorney for its highly integrated and fast-paced national corporate practice. This professional-track role is ideal for an attorney who excels in advising companies on expansion, relocation, incentives, and large-scale development projects across industries.

You’ll work closely with domestic and international companies developing new headquarters, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, data centers, and major office projects—while helping clients identify, structure, and negotiate discretionary economic development incentives at all levels of government.

This is a high-volume practice serving global clients, offering the opportunity to take on sophisticated work, mentor junior team members, and contribute to a growing national practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise U.S. and international companies on expansion, relocation, and development initiatives.

  • Counsel clients on corporate headquarters projects, manufacturing/distribution facilities, data centers, and major office developments.

  • Identify, negotiate, and structure economic development incentives packages.

  • Manage complex, multi-jurisdictional matters in a fast-paced environment.

  • Produce high-quality written work product, analyses, and strategic recommendations.

  • Collaborate closely with partners, associates, clients, and cross-functional teams.

  • Mentor junior associates and foster strong internal team relationships.

  • Travel as needed for client meetings, negotiations, and business development.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 8+ years of experience advising on corporate relocation, economic development incentives, or related areas.

  • Experience working with major corporate development projects across industries.

  • Strong analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.

  • Process-driven, highly organized, and able to manage competing deadlines.

  • Skilled at client management and team collaboration.

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a national, integrated practice group.

  • JD required; strong academic credentials preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Expected hiring range: $200,000–$300,000, depending on geography and qualifications.
