About the Position
We’re looking for an exceptional Legal Secretary to join our elder law team at Pettis Webber Pacific P.S. This role supports attorneys by managing key case and client-related tasks, helping ensure smooth legal operations and top-tier client service.

Compensation:
$20 hourly to start depending upon experience
Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
- Support attorneys in all phases of legal work related to estate planning, probate, and elder law.
- Prepare for and support estate plan signing appointments (must be or become a licensed Notary).
- Maintain and update files, documents, and client relationships using firm systems.
- Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings.
- Draft, format, print, and organize legal documents.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and compassionately.
- Assist in meeting prep by gathering documents and tracking open tasks.
- Help ensure smooth and timely client communication and follow-up.
Qualifications:
Who You Are
- You have at least 3 years of legal assistant or secretary experience supporting attorneys.
- You bring strong client service and communication skills—verbal and written.
- You’re compassionate and calm, even when working with families under stress.
- You’re tech-savvy and comfortable with office equipment, Microsoft Outlook, Word (or WordPerfect), and learning legal software.
- You’re organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities without letting things slip.
- You’re a team player—supportive, flexible, and not afraid to ask for help or offer it.
- You maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- You can lift 25 pounds and have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
- You either hold a current Notary Public license or are willing to obtain one quickly.
