Position Summary:
The Yoga & Pilates Instructor at Columbine Country Club plays a vital role in delivering a premier wellness experience for our members and guests. Reporting directly to the Director of Fitness, this position is responsible for guiding safe, engaging, and inclusive classes and private sessions. The instructor will tailor each session to meet the varying needs and abilities of participants, incorporating appropriate progressions, modifications, and breathing techniques.
Exemplifying professionalism and exceptional customer service, the instructor creates a welcoming environment and upholds the highest safety standards. This role also includes assisting with wellness events, maintaining a clean and organized studio space, and supporting the overall goals of the Fitness department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead yoga and/or Pilates classes, workshops, and private sessions for members and guests of all experience levels.
- Arrive on time and present a clean, professional appearance in appropriate fitness attire (free of logos or slogans).
- Greet every member and guest warmly, with a smile and eye contact.
- Go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional member experience in line with Tradition Golf Club standards.
- Ensure each participant completes a liability waiver/intake form prior to class or private sessions.
- Take accurate attendance for each class to ensure proper billing.
- Maintain knowledge of club events, amenities, and schedules to effectively answer member inquiries.
- Promptly report any incidents, accidents, or safety concerns to the Director of Fitness.
- Keep equipment and studio space tidy and organized at all times.
- Ensure session coverage in case of absence (e.g., illness or emergency).
- Communicate important updates or observations to fellow staff and the Fitness Director.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork, including charge tickets and participant signatures.
- Support event preparation by assisting with moving equipment or furniture as needed.
- Represent the department and Club values positively at all times.
- Address member or guest concerns with professionalism and follow up as needed.
- Foster a cooperative and team-oriented environment with fellow instructors and staff.
- Consistently adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Fitness.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Prior experience teaching yoga and/or Pilates, preferably in a luxury, spa, or country club setting.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current certification from a recognized Yoga Teacher Training (200-hour minimum) or Pilates Instructor program.
- CPR/AED Certification preferred.
