Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated paraprofessionals interested in supporting K-12 students in a specialized setting 4 program. A contract position is open for compassionate, adaptable professionals eager to make a positive impact on student growth and achievement. Responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized and small-group support to K-12 students in a specialized educational environment
- Assisting with instructional activities, behavior support, and daily classroom functioning
- Collaborating with teachers and specialists to ensure an inclusive, supportive learning experience
- Implementing accommodations and modifications per student IEPs and behavior intervention plans
- Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to district policies
- Fostering a safe, positive environment where all students can thrive
Qualifications:
- Minnesota Highly Qualified Paraprofessional status is required, met by either:
- Passing the MN Para Educator Exam (submit score report), or
- Completing 60 college credits (official college transcript required; diplomas/degrees not accepted)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting children or teens with diverse learning needs preferred
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 2:45 pm, during the assignment dates
Additional Details:
- Candidates must submit both a current resume and their Highly Qualified Document for consideration.
- Once 422 contract hours are completed, candidates will be eligible for direct hire status with the district.
