Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cable Installer to support a high-priority military contract. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent work quality, and consistent attendance. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, route, and secure low-voltage cabling (fiber and copper)
- Perform cable terminations, labeling, and testing
- Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and installation standards
- Ensure all work meets military-grade and Bluebonnet Fiber quality requirements
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors on installation plans
- Maintain tools, equipment, and safe work practices on job sites
- Troubleshoot cable issues and support corrective actions as needed
- Complete daily documentation and project updates
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cable installation, low-voltage work, or related field
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, ladders, and cable-testing equipment
- Strong work ethic and reliability—no attendance issues
- Ability to follow instructions, layout plans, and safety standards
- Comfortable working in a structured, high-expectation environment
- Must be able to pass any required background checks or site clearances
- Military project experience is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and work in tight or elevated spaces
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
