Maintenance Technician
Location: Timonium, MD | On-site
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $32–$38 per hour
Role Overview
This is a hands-on maintenance role focused on keeping production equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently in a continuous manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting, hands-on mechanical work, and improving equipment performance—not just fixing symptoms, but addressing root causes. You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, and Facilities to support uptime, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to support consistent production output
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical components
- Diagnose recurring equipment issues, identify root causes, and support long-term corrective actions
- Fabricate and machine parts as needed to maintain equipment and tooling readiness
- Set up, align, calibrate, and test mechanical assemblies using standard shop tools and precision measuring instruments
- Execute work orders and document repairs and preventive maintenance activities accurately in a CMMS
- Collaborate daily with Operations and cross-functional teams to meet production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, and troubleshooting documentation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where equipment uptime is critical
- Clear communicator who works effectively with operators, technicians, and engineers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., life sciences, medical device, food production)
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and disciplined documentation practices
- Fabrication or machining experience (mills, lathes, welding, etc.)
- Exposure to continuous improvement or reliability-focused maintenance practices
