Job Details Salary: $12 to $15 per hour Job Type: Full Time Location: Merrillville, IN 46410 Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and outgoing Automotive Service Porter to join our team. This role is essential in providing a positive first impression by greeting customers entering the service department and ensuring a smooth vehicle service experience. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner and direct them to the appropriate service personnel. Install protective coverings such as seat covers, steering wheel covers, and floor mats on vehicles brought in for service. Move vehicles safely around the lot and service areas to support service operations. Deliver vehicle keys and repair orders to the assigned Service Advisor promptly. Retrieve vehicles for customers at pickup, provide courteous assistance, and thank them for their business. Maintain cleanliness and ensure vehicles remain free from damage while on the premises. Follow all safety and security procedures consistently. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and educational classes as required. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the service department. Working Conditions This position requires working in a non-climate-controlled environment. Candidates should be able to handle both automatic and manual transmission vehicles safely. Job Requirement:Job Requirements Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record. Professional and dependable work ethic. Strong customer service and safety focus. Basic computer and internet skills. Excellent communication skills. Professional appearance and attitude. Ability to read and understand instructions clearly. Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy objects as needed.
