Floating Assistant Community Manager – Sparrow Management, LLC
Location: Various New Jersey Properties
Reports To: Regional Manager or Community Manager
Status: Full-Time, On-Site, Local Travel Required
Compensation: Competitive base salary plus mileage reimbursement
Schedule: Includes weekends and evenings as required
Position Summary
Sparrow Management is seeking a flexible, resourceful, and experienced Floating Assistant Community Manager to support operations across our luxury multifamily apartment communities in New Jersey. This role requires a professional who is comfortable stepping into various site-level roles, with the ability to support both leasing functions and day-to-day property management responsibilities. The ideal candidate must have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to multiple sites on a rotating or as-needed basis with short notice. This position is essential to ensuring continuity, consistency, and excellence across our communities.
Primary Responsibilities
Leasing and Sales Support
- Assist with lead follow-up, application processing, and lease execution in accordance with Sparrow standards
- Conduct tours for prospective residents and highlight key property features and amenities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property availability, pricing, and current leasing incentives
Community Management Support
- Assist with resident relations, including move-ins, renewals, and service concerns
- Support the Community Manager with administrative duties including reporting, vendor coordination, and compliance tracking
- Step in for Community Managers and Leasing Professionals during time off, supporting property operations and team oversight as needed
Operational Flexibility
- Travel to multiple properties across New Jersey based on business needs
- Provide consistent support and uphold Sparrow’s brand standards at every location
- Communicate effectively with both site-level teams and corporate leadership while ensuring seamless operational transitions between sites
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of multifamily property management experience, including leasing and assistant management responsibilities
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel daily within New Jersey
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi/Rent Cafe
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Professional demeanor and the ability to adapt quickly to different teams and environments
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Prior experience supporting multiple sites or in a floating property management role
- Strong organizational habits and ability to independently prioritize tasks across different properties
