JOB SUMMARY:
Services, installs and repairs all Novomatic gaming products installed in licensed gaming markets within the gaming industry. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring that all equipment operates according to company and regulatory standards. The technician will work directly with customers and management to address any service needs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of gaming machines. This position requires travel to different sites, both within the State and outside of State, to provide on-site support and resolve technical problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and maintains a professional image in representing Novomatic Americas Sales in both personal interfaces and those communicated via the phone and/or email.
- Travels 50% of the time outside of State and 50% within Oklahoma to support Novomatic’s customers. This includes installation of Novomatic machines, software updates, removals and any service related issues, and to help resolve customer needs on the products. Travels include weekends and after business hours; sometimes in short notice.
- Ensure all work complies with gaming regulations and industry standards, including security and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of slot machines and gaming systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Must have valid Driver’s License and clean driving record, and be able to operate service vehicle for majority of travel needs.
- Be able to apply electronic, mechanical and electrical principles and theories in testing, troubleshooting and repairing computerized gaming equipment.
- Interpret technical manuals in setting up and troubleshooting electronic systems and components.
- Utilize standard test apparatus or test equipment to conduct functional, operational, environmental and life testing to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype and production gaming equipment.
- Analyze and interpret test data.
- Provides to management and assigned sales team reports on all issues within the territory. Insures that the customers are well informed of all open issues with the products in their respective locations.
- Keeps customer advised of all issues impacting the completion of any service related issues.
- Keeps management abreast of competitive market trends and any issues that are/or may impede business.
- Helps install and represents the company at trade association meetings to promote the product.
- Train customers staff on the proper use and maintenance of slot machines and gaming equipment.
- Maintains timely and accurate expense account reporting.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring all necessary items are available for service tasks.
- Responsible for regular maintenance of the service vehicle.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of the product line and its application within the marketplace by participating in both internal and external training as needed.
- Complete detailed service reports after each job, documenting issues, repairs, and parts used, and submit these reports to management promptly.
- Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet service demands and deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned and or requested by management.
Requirements:
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Vocational Certificate or Associates in the field of electronics is preferred.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and clean driving record. Valid passport is beneficial.
- Experience in the gaming industry or equivalent technical experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret electronic drawings and diagrams.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and communicate to management.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more as needed.
- Ability to professionally interface and respond to questions from customers, sales personnel and others within the company as required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work with various hand tools and power tools.
- Skilled in problem solving, troubleshooting and diagnostics of gaming devices.
- Basic computer and network skills.
- Able to obtain and maintain gaming license in any jurisdiction as needed.
