As a Airport Security Officer - Termial Patrol in Kailua-Kona, HI, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon
Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- 21+ years of age
- Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
- Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government airport location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, corridors, curbside zones, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access control points and help to deter unauthorized entry by checking credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting irregular activity per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, alarms, and/or suspicious items; coordinate with site personnel and public agencies as directed.
- Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
