Harris Hands Community Services, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional/ Driver for our Without Walls Day/Supplemental Habilitation Programs. The ideal candidate must be reliable and maintain a positive and professional attitude while fostering a supportive environment, and enjoy supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting. They must document provided services accurately and efficiently, and utilize Computer skills to enter data into the online database system (Therap).

Qualifications for this position must include:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Must pass all four OPWDD background tests
• Must have NYS Driver's License
• Must be able to drive a 15-passenger van, with five years of experience driving a van
• Must be creative, a team player, flexible, have conflict resolution skills, and be able to complete paperwork on time.

Additional Qualifications include:

• Strong reliability and compassionate approach to care
• Making sure all individuals are engaging in daily activities
• Effective Reading and writing skills for documentation
• Proficiency in computer use to manage program records

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 1 Saturday a month for meetings, Virtual / unless there is in-person training

There is no overnight shift available. Employees may be asked to work mandatory overtime. Serious inquiries only.
