Job Description

We build precision industrial cleaning systems that large manufacturers rely on in their production operations — high-value, configured-to-order machines ranging from $300K to over $1M each. We're growing, and we're looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team on-site in Mason, Ohio.

\n

This is a role for someone who wants to own controls end-to-end — from schematic to startup — on complex, one-of-a-kind machines, and see their work run in the field at some of the largest manufacturers in the country.

\n

What you'll do:

\n

    \n
  • Design PLC programs using Beckhoff TwinCAT
  • \n

  • Design electrical controls architecture in AutoCAD Electrical — schematics and panel layouts
  • \n

  • Design and build HMI programs (we use Copa-Data Zenon — we'll train you if you're strong on the fundamentals)
  • \n

  • Generate electrical bills of material and partner with Purchasing on procurement
  • \n

  • Debug, test, and start up new machines
  • \n

  • Support the build team and installation/service team with controls troubleshooting
  • \n

  • Produce machine manuals and documentation
  • \n

  • Research and design controls improvements
  • \n

  • Work closely with Project Managers to deliver on scope and budget
  • \n

\n

What we're looking for:

\n

    \n
  • Solid PLC and HMI experience — Beckhoff TwinCAT (Structured Text Programming) is a strong plus.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical for schematics and panel design
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of Ignition or other SCADA based systems
  • \n

  • Hands-on comfort: someone who's debugged and started up real machines, not just written code
  • \n

  • Ability to read a build, spot electrical issues, and solve them on the floor
  • \n

  • Strong documentation habits
  • \n

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (~5%) for on-site installation and service — rare, but expected now and then
  • \n

This is a full-time, on-site role at our Mason, Ohio facility. We are hiring locally and are looking for candidates in the Greater Cincinnati area only. We are not offering relocation for this position.

\n

Why join us:

\n

    \n
  • Work on genuinely interesting, high-value machines
  • \n

  • Small, close team where your work is visible and your judgment matters
  • \n

  • A growing company scaling up its production
  • \n

If you're a controls engineer in the Cincinnati area who likes owning problems end-to-end, we'd like to hear from you.
