Position: General Manager for Healthcare Projects Division

Type of projects: Healthcare Design and Construction Administration.

An engineering design company, located in Los Angeles County, is in search of a design professional (architect or structural engineer) to replace the retiring healthcare division manager. This is a Work From Office (WFO) Principal level position. The ideal candidate must function as the Design Professional of Record (DPOR) for all the projects under her/his supervision. Extensive experience with HCAI / OSHPD is necessary.

The firm has offices in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The firm is engaged in all aspects of engineering for new construction and rehabilitation projects for office, retail, educational, residential, healthcare, hospitality, and industrial buildings. Projects are located across the United States.

Excellence in project delivery and a team centered attitude are necessary.

General:

• Able to lead and develop small and medium size projects from early design concepts through final construction:

o Hospital buildings.

o Skilled Nursing Facilities.

o Intermediate Care facilities.

o Clinics.

• Business development experience.

• Able to determine the project design and construction period services’ fees to prepare competitive proposals.

• Experience interfacing with project owner and / or client before and during project development.

• Full understanding of HCAI and CDPH procedures, policies, and requirements.

• Able to provide creative solutions to customers’ requirements. Good critical thinking skills and critical thinking. Also, able to anticipate potential challenges.

• Proficiency in leading and/or participating in the delivery of integrated AEC services.

• Have coordination skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Be a quick responder to design and construction challenges.

• Have experience in the development and construction of structural and MEP projects.

• Provide directions and supervision of the preparation of drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

• Experience with Kaiser Permanente a plus.

• Architectural, Structural and MEP experience and proficiency necessary to manage multidisciplinary members of a project team.

Duties:

• Prepare, submit and follow-up on service proposals.

· Provide design support to the team.

• Provide CA support to the team.

• Coordinate work with design sub-consultants.

• Keep projects within budget and timelines.

• Maintain fluent communication with construction and client management teams.

• Participate and/or lead AEC meetings.

• Perform field visits and investigations as needed.

Requirements:

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Strong written and verbal proficiencies. Clear communicator.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Familiar with HCAI procedures and policies.

• Knowledgeable of building codes applicable to group I-2.

• Collaborator with a positive attitude.

Desired Qualifications:

· Licensed SE or Registered Architect with a minimum of 10-15 years with HCAI / OSHPD projects.

· Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.

· BIM360 a plus.

· Microsoft Office 360 proficiency.

· Working knowledge of project management software such as e-builder / Trimble / Procore preferable.


Exceptional compensation package includes:

· Base salary of $180,000 to $220,000 DOQ&E + generous bonus package
