Job Description
The Director will provide overall leadership and operational oversight of the radiology department. This is a high-impact leadership role for a credentialed imaging professional who has made the transition into department management and is ready to lead at the Director level.
Responsibilities
- Exercise overall supervision of the radiology department, including daily operations, staffing, and performance management
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate department functions in alignment with hospital policies and standards
- Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets
- Mentor, coach, and lead radiology staff while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and professional standards
- Delegate responsibilities consistent with legal, professional, and departmental guidelines
- Identify and resolve departmental challenges while maintaining quality and patient care standards
- Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance across the department
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program
- Active ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 5 years of technical radiology experience
- Minimum 2 years of imaging leadership or management experience
- State licensure is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) credential
