Position Summary:

Glacier Snow Management is hiring Sidewalk Machine Operators to maintain pedestrian pathways, building perimeter walks, and exterior plazas for commercial accounts. This hybrid role combines operating specialized sidewalk machines and tractors with hands-on shoveling to ensure complete walkway safety around building entrances and tight spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate specialized sidewalk machines and small tractors equipped with plows or brooms to clear snow from sidewalks and plazas.
- Perform manual shoveling, snow blowing, and de-icing around entrances, steps, ramps, and areas inaccessible to machinery.
- Apply chemical de-icers and salt evenly to eliminate slip hazards and prevent ice buildup.
- Watch for obstacles, utility fixtures, and landscaping features while operating equipment.
- Communicate with the lot clearing crew to maintain smooth operational flow across assigned properties.

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Experience operating small equipment or tractors preferred; comfortable operating machinery in tight, detailed spaces.
- Entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
- Must possess a smartphone to use company dispatch, time-tracking, and job-logging applications.
- Flexible, on-call availability for winter weather events, including overnight and weekend storms.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform active manual labor, and work in sub-zero outdoor temperatures.
- Reliable transportation to report directly to our West Fargo shop for shift start.
