Job Title: Front End Engineer, AWS QuickSight
Industry: State Agency
Location: Linthicum, MD (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Rate: Depends on experience


Position Overview:
We are seeking two Junior Quicksight Front-End Developers to support enterprise-level reporting and business intelligence initiatives. This role will focus on building and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using AWS QuickSight, ensuring business data is transformed into meaningful insights. Candidates should bring experience in BI and Data Warehouse development, report creation, and software engineering principles. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to enhance reporting systems by incorporating new data sources and improving existing dashboards.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain enterprise-level dashboards and reports in AWS QuickSight.
  • Translate raw data into clear, user-friendly reports and stories that meet business needs.
  • Develop and manage custom integration solutions, including enhancements, interfaces, and new features.
  • Participate in planning, design, and development of complex business-critical software solutions.
  • Research and apply emerging BI technologies to improve reporting platforms.
  • Enhance and optimize reporting systems by incorporating additional data sources and requirements.
  • Support business users by gathering requirements, designing reporting templates, and delivering solutions that improve decision-making.
  • Apply software engineering best practices, including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of BI solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of computer experience across system analysis, system programming, application programming, or equipment analysis.
  • At least 5 years as a hardware/software specialist or systems analyst in large-scale system development and maintenance.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse environments.
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS QuickSight for building dashboards and reports.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and modern development tools.
  • Experience integrating new data sources into BI platforms.
  • Familiarity with template-based report design (preferred).
