CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Banking Center Manager and/or Deposit Manager
SUPERVISES: Universal Banker, Personal Banker, Personal Banker II, Personal Banker III
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the operations of the retail banking center with twenty percent of the time focused on pursuing individual sales goals. Operational and budgetary functions completed the remaining eighty percent.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports retail banking center personnel in their sales management by attaining banking center goals in an effective and efficient manner through planning, staffing, training, leading & controlling.
- Leads sales strategy and planning by conducting regular sales meetings in order to reach performance goals.
- Develops new account relationships through community and professional visibility and among existing customers.
- Assists in retail banking center business development activities.
- Generates and pursues sales leads and strengthens relationships through follow-up of potential customers.
- Assists with the design of internal performance goals and objectives for personnel and banking centers to maximize business volume, deposits, and loan portfolio.
- Responsible for consumer lending from application to closing.
- Performs new accounts duties.
- Assists on teller line when needed as a personal banker or additional support for front line.
- Ensures vault cash is at a manageable level.
- Oversees that ITM functions are completed, if applicable.
- Assists head teller in locating teller cash discrepancies. Completes teller cash over/short procedures.
- Assists and makes recommendations on retail banking center staff's performance evaluation and salary adjustments.
- Directs retail banking center personnel in activities to ensure prompt, accurate and dependable customer service.
- Actively participates in establishing and works to accomplish individual sales, referral, operational, and community involvement goals.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or three to five years' experience in financial institution.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong sales initiative that results in initiating, developing, and securing relationships with new and existing customers.
- Superior knowledge of financial institutions processes, procedures, and workflow.
