Job DescriptionAccountant Pay: $70,000-$80,000 Annually (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8am-5:00pm
Position Summary-A well-established commercial property management firm is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join their finance team. This role plays a key part in managing the financial operations of a portfolio of properties and works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and strong financial performance.This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of their portfolio.
Essential Job Duties-

  • Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Record accruals and maintain accurate general ledger activity
  • Process daily cash receipts and maintain cash tracking reports
  • Review and code invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and system input
  • Prepare and process owner distributions and management fees
  • Support lease administration activities, including data entry and review
  • Assist with check runs and cash flow oversight
  • Collaborate with internal teams and support additional accounting duties as needed


Requirements-Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Prior accounting experience required; real estate or property accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with property management accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, AvidXchange) is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Effective communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
