This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity covering approximately two months, with the possibility to extend through the full school year for the right professional. Key qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligibility for SLP licensure in Maine
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; open to strong CFY candidates
- Experience working within school settings, providing assessments and interventions to students with varied communication needs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively onsite
Role responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to K-12 students with communication disorders
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans in collaboration with the IEP team
- Monitor student progress, adjust interventions, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and records according to school and state guidelines
- Supervise and coordinate activities with the assigned Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Foster inclusive, engaging learning environments for students and staff
