This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who brings enthusiasm, expertise, and compassion to their work—especially those familiar with AAC devices and working with students with autism. You’ll work in a primary school building, collaborating with a supportive team from September 8th through June 25th, providing essential services to a caseload of approximately 50 students.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Experience supporting students on the autism spectrum
- Valid state SLP licensure or eligibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students in a primary school environment
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Provide training and support on AAC device use for students and staff
- Maintain compliance with all school policies and state regulations
