Job Type: Contract (No Benefits)
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts/week | Weekend availability required based on departmental needs

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to perform instrument decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and flexible endoscope reprocessing while maintaining infection prevention and patient safety standards.
Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience.

National certification through CBSPD or HSPA.

First-time travelers are not accepted.

Experience in sterilization, decontamination, assembly and wrapping, scope/probe reprocessing, equipment documentation, and high-level disinfection (HLD).

Experience reprocessing surgical instruments and trays across multiple specialties.

Experience with flexible endoscope reprocessing.

Ability to work overnight shifts and weekends as required.

Maximum requested time off: 5 days.

Pending state license accepted, if applicable.
Responsibilities

Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments and equipment.

Reprocess scopes, probes, and flexible endoscopes according to established protocols.

Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and ensure proper handling of reusable medical devices.

Maintain accurate sterilization records, equipment documentation, and tracking logs.

Prepare instrument trays and sets for surgical procedures across multiple specialties.

Follow infection prevention, quality assurance, and patient safety standards.

Ensure instruments and equipment are properly processed and available for scheduled procedures.

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and applicable sterilization standards.
