COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR
MONTGOMERY, AL
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator with 5–10 years of experience to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial construction costs, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for projects from concept through completion.
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building systems, and cost analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project expenses.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Identify potential cost savings, project risks, and scope discrepancies.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the bidding process.
- Prepare bid proposals, maintain estimating records, and ensure timely submission of bids.
- Monitor material pricing, labor costs, and market trends to maintain accurate estimates.
