Position Overview:
Eich Motor Company, a family-owned dealership proudly serving our community since 1898, is seeking a strategic and motivated Used Vehicle Manager to oversee all aspects of our pre-owned vehicle department. Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Acquire, appraise, and price pre-owned vehicles, including Mazda and VW models, to maintain a well-balanced and competitive inventory.
- Monitor market trends and local demand, especially for import and niche vehicles, to ensure optimal inventory turnover.
- Oversee the reconditioning process to deliver high-quality vehicles aligned with franchise standards.
2. Sales Leadership:
- Drive sales team performance to achieve monthly and annual goals for pre-owned imports and other vehicles.
- Train, mentor, and support sales staff, focusing on customer engagement and closing techniques specific to Mazda and VW clientele.
- Collaborate with the General Sales Manager to align used vehicle strategies with overall dealership objectives.
3. Customer Experience:
- Ensure every customer receives a premium experience reflective of the Mazda and Volkswagen brands, from initial interaction to post-sale follow-up.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Uphold dealership values of transparency, honesty, and exceptional service in all customer interactions.
4. Financial Oversight:
- Maintain accurate records of sales, costs, and profitability for the used vehicle department, with an emphasis on import-focused vehicles.
- Analyze performance metrics to develop data-driven strategies for revenue and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with the finance department to structure deals that meet both customer needs and company goals.
5. Marketing and Merchandising:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote used inventory, emphasizing Mazda and Volkswagen models, through online platforms, digital advertising, and on-site displays.
- Ensure vehicles are properly displayed, described, and marketed to highlight their unique value and features.
- Leverage digital tools and platforms to broaden reach and attract import-savvy buyers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in automotive sales, preferably with import brands (Mazda and VW experience a plus).
- Strong understanding of used car market trends, with a focus on import and high-demand models.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM and dealership management software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
