Job Purpose: Provides hospital security including- loss prevention, asset protection, personnel protection, parking and traffic control, facility access control, and emergency response. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Certifications/Licensure: BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days. Valid Class C driver license. Must have or obtain within 14 days of hire date a Non-Commissioned Security License.
Essential Job Responsibilities:•Conducts routine patrol and takes necessary action to ensure facility security and safety. •Responds to calls for assistance and addresses issues of concern to ensure the safety and security of hospital staff, visitors, and property.•Properly uses and maintains vehicle, keys, equipment, and work areas.•Demonstrates diligence in documenting work activity by utilizing departmental forms and reports.•Responds to emergency code calls, alarms, and drills quickly, and takes appropriate action•Communicates with police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.•Operates vehicle in a safe manner by utilizing strobe lights, staying alert, and driving at speeds under 10 mph.•Performs other duties as assigned.
