We are seeking a skilled, full-time Residential Property Maintenance Technician to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. This role is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance in common areas and residential apartments, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and appliance-related work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Complete general repairs (e.g., broken locks, patching walls)
- Report issues to the Maintenance Manager
- Install appliances and equipment as needed
- Inspect and troubleshoot systems such as ventilation and HVAC
- Ensure safety systems (e.g., fire alarms) are functioning properly
- Assist with renovation projects and collaborate with team members
- Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including:

- Plumbing systems
- Kitchen equipment
- Roofs and drains
- Shop and grounds equipment
- HVAC systems
- Maintain and properly use tools and equipment
- Respond promptly to resident service requests
- Perform carpentry work and assist with snow removal as needed
- Follow all applicable codes, regulations, and company policies
- Adhere to company uniform and dress code standards
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a related field
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance maintenance, and snow removal
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor when interacting with residents and staff
- Proactive, self-motivated team player
