Position Summary
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing expert technical support for under-the-hook crane devices and automation tools. This role focuses on implementation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and on-site service to ensure reliable performance, minimize customer downtime, and uphold safety and quality standards.
The Field Service Technician works directly with customers to diagnose and resolve issues, perform routine maintenance and calibration, and deliver product training to support proper use and long-term reliability. In close collaboration with engineering and sales teams, this role contributes to continuous improvement by documenting service activities, communicating field insights, and providing both on-site and remote technical assistance as needed.

Primary Responsibilities
• Implement and commission under-the-hook lifting systems at client sites
• Assemble required equipment at the facility prior to commissioning
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with under-the-hook crane devices and automation tools
• Provide on-site technical support, responding promptly to service requests and minimizing downtime
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of tools to maintain peak performance
• Train clients on proper equipment use and maintenance to improve operational efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, troubleshooting steps, and equipment modifications
• Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to communicate issues and support continuous improvement
• Provide remote technical assistance when on-site service is not feasible

Minimum Qualifications
• Technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering (or related field)
• Minimum of three years of relevant field service experience, preferably with electrical or mechanical tools
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, including Ethernet/IP communication protocols
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly
• Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 75%) for domestic and international support
