TMCI is seeking a Data Quality Assurance Analyst (DQAA) to support execution of enterprise data quality practices. This role focuses on implementing and monitoring data quality rules, performing data discovery and validation, maintaining dashboards, and supporting remediation efforts in collaboration with data engineers and stakeholders.
The DQAA plays a key role in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by applying established standards, identifying anomalies, and producing metrics and documentation that support operational decision-making and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor data quality rules and validation processes
- Conduct analysis on data (databases, files, dashboards, etc.)
- Identify, document, and escalate data quality issues with supporting and root cause analysis
- Maintain dashboards and generate reports on data quality metrics
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and stakeholders to support remediation efforts
- Document data quality processes, rules, and validation results
- Support adherence to organizational data quality and governance standards
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DOD clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field from an accredited institution
- On-site requirement at our McLean, VA office – only candidates local to the DMV (DC Metro, Southern MD, Northern VA) will be considered
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data quality, data analysis, data operations, or similar roles
- 2 – 3 years performing data profiling, rule-based validation, and cross-system reconciliation
- Experience maintaining dashboards and producing data quality reports
- Experience collaborating with data engineers or cross-functional data teams
Desired Qualifications:
- Comfortable working with large data sets and databases
- Basic understanding of data management fundamentals: ETL, data governance, and data quality
- Data quality or data governance certifications (e.g., DAMA, Collibra)
- SQL or database-related certifications
- BI tool certifications (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards, terminologies (ICD-10, SNOMED), and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Understanding of healthcare compliance and regulations, including HIPAA
- Expertise in data modeling and data architecture
