Job Description

The groundskeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the community including the grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other common areas of the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This list of essential functions of the job duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to job specifications. Additional job duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

  • Maintain curb appeal and the cleanliness of the community, grounds and amenities.
  • Responsible for daily trash pick-up and light clubhouse cleaning.
  • Responsible for maintaining pool chemicals and cleaning.
  • Responsible for light landscaping including planting trees, shrubs, trimming, pruning, watering and general curb appeal of the community grounds.
  • Assist in preparation of vacant apartment for move-in of new residents and completing resident service requests as assigned.
  • Assists with snow removal and salt application on sidewalks and driveways to prevent ice buildup.
  • Maintain the required uniform and ensure a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Provide highest quality of customer service to residents and guests.
  • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all supplier partners, residents and employees.
  • Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures and state and federal laws regarding fair housing, OSHA and ADA.
  • Operate within safety policies at all times
  • Other job tasks and functions as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state issued Driver’s License
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on call as needed and snow removal during winter season
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
