Job Description

Dr. Fitzgerald & Associates/Vision in Motion is looking for a COTA to work with a patient population of all ages, focusing on vision therapy, concussion management, and TBI rehabilitation. Therapy sessions include visual and processing assessments, multiple modalities, and eye hand coordination activities. This position will work on the rehabilitation side of the clinic with Dr. Fitzgerald, who is a neuro-optometrist, along with athletic trainers and COTA.

The expected hours would be 9am-5pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and 10am-6pm Tuesday and Thursday. They will have access to various modalities, state of the art equipment, and continuing education in order to improve patient outcomes. Being able to work as part of a team as well as being able to work autonomously are both important in this role. This role offers good work-life balance as work stays at work.

Qualifications

\n

Licensed in the state of Iowa require/or eligible

\n

1+ year of experience (preferred)

\n


\n

Responsibilities

\n

Perform developmental assessments including vision, processing, and cognition

\n

Managing and rehabilitating esophoria, exophoria, and strabismus cases

\n

Carry out treatment plans for concussion, stroke, and other traumatic brain injuries

\n

Working closely with the onsite interdisciplinary team regarding patient treatment and progress
