CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Engineer III opening for our client.
Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12 months
Overview:
Seeking a senior-level Network Automation Engineer to design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions that improve network reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency. This role serves as an advanced technologist and subject matter expert supporting enterprise network and infrastructure automation initiatives.
Top Responsibilities:

Design and implement network automation using Ansible, Nautobot, and IaC frameworks

Develop scalable automation workflows to streamline network provisioning and operations

Perform infrastructure design, implementation, testing, and optimization
-
Create and maintain architecture, operational documentation, standards, and policies
-
Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to gather and translate requirements
-
Ensure solutions meet security, risk, and regulatory standards
-
Coordinate vendor activities and evaluate vendor technologies
-
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
-
Support audit readiness and internal control compliance
Required Qualifications:
-
6+ years of combined education and/or experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or architecture

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
-
Experience with DevOps practices and automation
-
Strong background in Network Engineering
-
Ability to work independently and interact with technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
-
6+ years in enterprise infrastructure or network engineering environments
-
Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
-
Advanced troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
-
Strong knowledge of enterprise network, server/client, and virtual environments
-
Experience working in regulated environments (Financial Services preferred)

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
-
Process-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments
